From Moves, Issue 52 (August/September
1980) This item appeared in Designer Notes column, page 34: Great Battles of the American Civil War Wilson's Creek, Pea Ridge, and Drive on Washington have all been well received, and they are selling very well. I am glad to see there are as many TSS fans out there as I thought there were. At present, I have little to report except to say that we have received six prototypes for freelance designers to evaluate. There will be two (perhaps three) published in time for Origins next summer. The six games so far received (and two others not in yet), are in competition with each other; the best will be published. The six presently in the office are: Brice's Crossroads Cedar Mountain Belmont Brandy Station Olustee: Battle for Florida Port Republic In addition to the small games, we are continuing on with Antietam, which will likely be released at Origins. If there are battles you would especially like to see, write me. If that battle is Chickamauga, don't bother, I already know that everyone want to see that done. Eric Smith
